Boston Man Arrested After Officers Struck at Northshore Mall

Police arrested Romello McCain, 20, of Boston, in Boston on Thursday in connection with the Sept. 21 incident at Northshore Mall. Two Peabody officers were struck, and one was dragged across the parking lot, as they tried to stop suspects accused of shoplifting more than $1,600 in merchandise from Macy's. McCain faces charges including unarmed robbery, leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily injury, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. A second suspect, Ta'kerria Tenae Sherrod-Greene, 20, of Boston, was taken into custody at the mall and will be charged with robbery, and both officers were home recovering as of Thursday.
