Peabody High football beat Malden 44-6 in its home opener at Coley Lee Field, moving to 2-0 for the fourth time in five seasons. Senior quarterback Dominik Mercier rushed for 131 yards and four touchdowns, while coach Mark Bettencourt credited a long list of fill-ins with injuries thinning the lineup. Captain Jake Marcotullio started at right tackle and went 6-for-6 on extra points, and sophomore Ryan Levesque returned an interception 95 yards.
