Flood Watch posted for Newton Lower Falls

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Newton Lower Falls through 2 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, and a Wind Advisory is in effect until 8 a.m. Sunday. Sunday's forecast calls for showers, with thunderstorms possible after 11 a.m. that could produce heavy rainfall, three-quarters of an inch to an inch of new rain, and northeast wind gusts as high as 36 mph. Showers are expected to continue Sunday night and through Monday.
