Ryan Normandin and Elizabeth Ross Del Porto Launch Campaign for NTA Leadership

Ryan Normandin, who has spent the past year as the Newton Teachers Association's second release officer, announced Sept. 9 that he is running for union president, with first vice president Elizabeth Ross Del Porto running for his current post. The joint campaign comes as Newton Public Schools enters its next contract negotiation year. Current NTA president Mike Zilles has announced he plans to retire at the end of the school year.
