Pollard Middle School Project Faces Vote Deadlines

The $325.4 million Pollard Middle School project needs a two-thirds vote at the Oct. 19 Special Town Meeting and a simple-majority vote at the Nov. 3 election to move to construction. Both votes are needed for the town to tap as much as $80.6 million in Massachusetts School Building Authority reimbursements, and they must happen within 120 days of the MSBA Board's Aug. 26 approval. The Nov. 3 debt exclusion override vote will take place whatever Town Meeting decides.
