Circle of Peace Statue Returns to Needham Town Common
The seven-figure bronze statue of children holding hands officially reopened Saturday morning, after a rededication ceremony held by the Needham Community Revitalization Trust Fund on the 25th anniversary of its installation. The Circle of Peace had been off-limits since March 2025, when a car veered onto the common and collided with it, causing damage extensive enough that the piece was removed and later returned behind barriers. Trust fund chair Paul Good said the statue has come to signify "community, connection and joy," with an opening designed to invite children to join hands and complete the circle.
