Fire marshal rules Needham Christmas Eve fire accidental

The State Fire Marshal's Office has determined that the Christmas Eve fire in a garage on Woodworth Road was accidental, with no evidence it was intentionally set. Investigators said multiple items may have contributed, including power tools, ignitable liquids and lithium-ion batteries. The fire, which broke out around 5 a.m., killed 21-year-old Kayla Corrigan, a Syracuse University student; two other people inside the home escaped.
