Needham Marks 25th Anniversary of 9/11 at Public Safety Memorial

Just under 100 residents and officials gathered outside the Public Safety Building on Chestnut Street on Friday morning to mark a quarter century since the attacks and honor the four Needham residents who died. Fire Chief Thomas Conroy, Select Board Chair Heidi Frail and state Sen. Becca Rausch spoke at the ceremony. Rausch recalled watching the towers fall from a first-year legal writing class and waiting hours to learn that her mother, who had a meeting scheduled at the World Trade Center that morning, was safe.
