Ben-Hem Named State School of Recognition

Bennett-Hemenway Elementary is one of just 50-plus Massachusetts schools named a school of recognition by the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. It met all of the state's accountability targets, up from 30% a year ago, and is the only Natick school on this year's list. Superintendent Dr. Melissa Spash called it "a huge honor" at the Sept. 28 School Committee meeting, citing progress in English language arts and math.
