Route 27/9 construction ramps up, pauses for Labor Day

Beginning in early September, MassDOT crews will perform earthwork, grading and paving along northbound Route 27 from North Pleasant Street to the Route 9 eastbound on-ramp, working along the edge of the roadway. Drainage work on Route 27 between Route 9 and Rutledge Road, center median work on Route 9 between Linden Street and the Cochituate Rail Trail, and utility pole work and relocations also continue this month. Median work runs Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., all work is weather dependent, and no construction activity will take place on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
