Conservation Commission posts hearing notices for Castle Road, Bass Point Road
The Nahant Conservation Commission has posted hearing notices for coastal buffer zone work at 55 Castle Road and 115 Bass Point Road. The meeting is set for Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes a continued hearing for retaining wall and pool work at Bass Point Road and a request for stair reconfiguration at Castle Road.

Boater rescued off East Point
On September 5, 2026, Nahant police and fire responded to a boating emergency off East Point; one unresponsive man was pulled from the water and transported to Salem Hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
