The Melrose girls soccer team edged Lexington 2-1 on Tuesday, improving its record to 2-2-2 and handing the Minutemen their first loss of the season. Melrose entered ranked 141st in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings, while Lexington was ranked 34th. The Red Raiders play at Wilmington on Thursday at 7 p.m.
