Kitchen Melrose Cooks 100 Meals for Food Insecurity Relief

The Kitchen Melrose held a "Cooking for a Cause" session Tuesday evening at 1 Hurd Street, where participants made 100 meals from scratch for The Food Link and the Food Drive's Community Freezer, which feed neighbors facing food insecurity. Contributions from participants covered food, staffing and utility costs, and volunteers cooked and packaged the meals to go. The sessions are open to adults and ages 9 and up, and groups of eight to 16 can book a class through the organizers.
