City Warns of Fraudulent Invoices Targeting Businesses
City officials are warning that fraudulent invoices impersonating Melrose city boards, including the Zoning Board of Appeals, have been sent to local businesses. The fake bills have requested wire transfers of up to nearly $5,000. Anyone who receives a questionable invoice should call City Hall to verify it before paying.
