MBTA reminds commuters of 11-day Orange Line suspension
The MBTA is reminding riders that Orange Line service between Oak Grove and Back Bay will be suspended for 11 consecutive days, Aug. 20-30, with free shuttle buses replacing service. Crews will perform track and signal upgrades, including rail, tie and fastener replacement between Tufts Medical Center and Haymarket and track revitalization work between Haymarket and Assembly. The MBTA says the work is a step toward extending 55 mph speeds between Community College and Assembly.
