Ward 1 residents press council over vehicle noise at ward meeting

About two dozen residents raised vehicle and motorcycle noise, traffic and pedestrian safety at the City Council's first neighborhood ward meeting, led by Councilors Liz Mullane and Justin Tseng on October 1. Otis Street residents described a neighbor's motorcycle being revved and driven down the street at 1 a.m., 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. Councilors said they are exploring a noise-ordinance rewrite and traffic-calming options.
