Medford Diner Stays Open Under New Ownership
Less than a month after announcing it would close permanently on Aug. 30, the West Medford restaurant says it will keep operating under new ownership. Owners Joseph Schanda Jr. and Joseph Schanda Sr., who said an unexpected medical hardship made daily operations no longer possible, are passing the restaurant they ran for more than 25 years to two longtime Medford residents. The new owners' identities have not yet been announced.
