6th Annual Medford Jazz Festival Kicks Off in West Medford

The three-day Medford Jazz Festival opens Friday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. at the West Medford Community Center, with the Vertigo Trio+ playing from 7 to 7:45 p.m. and the Reese Pike Trio from 8 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday sets move outdoors, weather permitting, and include the Farayi Malek Quintet, Mina Cho Quartet, Nicko Guerrero Trio, Berklee's Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, and The Ally Project. The lineup draws on local and regional musicians, several with ties to Berklee's Global Jazz Institute.
