Green Line's central trunk closes for 9-day shutdown

From today through Aug. 16, the MBTA is closing the Green Line's central tunnel between North Station and Kenmore Square. The Medford/Tufts and Union Square branch stays in service, along with the D branch and part of the B branch, with shuttle buses covering the closed segments. The closure will also complicate access to Fenway Park, where the Red Sox host two games against the Athletics this weekend.
