Headstrong 5K Set for Saturday Morning

The second annual Headstrong 5K run/walk starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 3, at the Marshfield school complex. Proceeds benefit the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, and the race honors Karen Canale and David Savage, who both died of brain aneurysms. Because other events are taking place at the complex, race parking is on the Furnace Brook Middle School side, and bib pickup runs from 8 to 8:45 a.m. on race morning only.

Brews for Sonia Fundraiser at Stellwagen Beer Co. Tonight

Stellwagen Beer Company, 3R Plumbing and Mechanical, and Learn, Live, Love host "Brews for Sonia's Battle Against Breast Cancer" tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. at 100 Enterprise Drive. The free, 21-plus event supports cancer treatment costs for Sonia McIntyre-Bernard and other women, with live music, food trucks and raffles.
