Town administrator says Marshfield departments bypassed procurement laws
Five weeks into the job, Town Administrator Ted Langill told the Select Board that departments townwide have not been following state procurement law, and he called the practice a liability. A replacement procurement policy is already in draft with the town accountant and the town's procurement consultant. Langill plans to meet with department heads in October and enforce the new procedure in November, ahead of the board's Jan. 1, 2027 deadline for revised procedures.
