NWS issues marine advisories ahead of coastal storm
The National Weather Service has a small-craft advisory in effect until 2 a.m. Friday for Massachusetts and Ipswich bays, with northeast winds gusting to 30 knots and seas of 7 to 10 feet. A gale warning follows from 2 to 11 a.m. Friday, with gusts up to 40 knots and seas of 8 to 13 feet. A storm watch runs from Friday morning through Saturday evening, when northeast winds of 30 to 40 knots, gusts up to 50 knots and seas of 13 to 18 feet are possible.
