Reynolds Playground Redevelopment Paused Over Lime Street Issues
The Recreation and Parks Commission agreed Sept. 15 that it would be premature to advance the $3.3 million Reynolds Playground redevelopment until the town sorts out ownership, drainage and easement questions around the site, particularly a drainage pipe and Lime Street, a private way. "It doesn't mean it's not going to happen. It means it's a pause," Vice Chair Shelly Bedrossian said. The project, funded by a Larz Anderson bequest that has grown to about $3.3 million, had a three-phase concept unveiled in April, with the first phase tentatively targeted for completion by winter 2026-27.
