Plans for 140-Unit Glover Residences Presented to Planning Board

Attorney Gerry D'Ambrosio, counsel for The Glover LLC, presented revised plans Monday for the 140-unit multifamily development spanning Marblehead and Swampscott, telling the Planning Board the historic General John Glover House will be preserved and integrated into the project. He said the plans differ from those of five years ago because they try to address concerns raised since, and that the Glover House could eventually serve as a museum or function hall, pending a Historical Commission public hearing. The Historical Commission has approved demolition of the property's three other buildings — two barns and the A.E. Little House, cleared on a 5-3 vote after an initial tie.
