Marblehead Joins Swampscott, Nahant to Challenge Lynnway Redesign

Marblehead's Select Board joined officials from Swampscott and Nahant this week in urging the state to reconsider the Route 1A Lynnway Multimodal Corridor Project, citing traffic and emergency-access concerns. The debate has moved beyond Lynn's borders, with elected officials from neighboring communities joining residents and business owners in pressing the state for changes. Opposition signage has gone up along the corridor, including outside Sonny's Car Wash and Lynnway Liquors.
