First Phase of Malden River Works Park Opens to the Public

The first phase of Malden River Works Park was completed Sept. 25. It opens public access to a section of the Malden River that has historically been surrounded by industrial and commercial properties. The work included soil remediation, stormwater infrastructure, a dock, play features and more than 250 new trees, and a public celebration is set for Sunday, Oct. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the park behind the DPW yard at 356 Commercial St.
