Dartmouth Street closed after concrete falls from bridge

Dartmouth Street is closed from Ramsdell Road to Garnet Street after chunks of concrete fell from the Florence Street overpass onto parked cars and the roadway Wednesday night. City crews and emergency personnel are assessing the bridge, and the road will stay shut until officials determine it is safe to reopen; pedestrian access in the area is also restricted. There is no estimated reopening time, and the city asks drivers to use alternate routes and not move or bypass barricades.
