State raises West Nile virus risk; Malden listed high-risk

Massachusetts health officials raised the state's West Nile virus risk level on Sept. 14 after new human cases, and Malden is among the communities now classified as high-risk. The state has logged seven human cases so far this year, mostly in Middlesex and Suffolk counties. Officials recommend removing standing water, using repellent and limiting dusk-to-dawn exposure until the first hard frost.
