Malden School Worker Arrested on Federal Child Exploitation Charges

Federal Homeland Security Investigations agents, assisted by Malden police, arrested Anthony Lamont Fowlkes at his home Tuesday morning on a Michigan warrant alleging child sexual exploitation. Investigators say he communicated with two underage girls in Michigan, received explicit photos and threatened to distribute them; an affidavit also alleges he sent explicit photos of himself. AlphaBEST, the before- and after-school program where he worked, said it fired him, and Superintendent Timothy Sippel said there is no indication Malden schools or students were involved.
