Lynnfield Golf Sets Scoring Records in Season-Opening Wins

Lynnfield High School's golf team opened the season 2-0 with wins over Essex Tech and Pentucket, breaking front- and back-nine scoring records at Sagamore Spring Golf Club. The Pioneers set the school front-nine record in the opener, according to the Sept. 9 report in the Lynnfield Villager. After publication, Lynnfield fell to Newburyport 181-156 on Sept. 9.
