LHAND Launches 6th Lead Abatement Grant at Goldfish Pond

Lynn Housing Authority & Neighborhood Development held a kickoff event Wednesday at Goldfish Pond for the sixth round of its grant program to remove residential lead paint hazards across the city. Lead-based paint has been banned for residential use in the United States for almost 50 years, but it remains present in homes throughout Massachusetts. State Rep. Donald Wong, Sen. Brendan Crighton, Council President Coco Alinsug, Councilor Natasha Megie-Maddrey and LHAND Executive Director Charles Gaeta were among those on hand.
