Mayor names three finalists for Lynn police chief

Mayor Jared C. Nicholson named Deputy Chief Christopher Kelly, Captain Michael Kmiec and Captain William Sharpe as finalists to succeed retiring Chief Christopher Reddy, following an Assessment Center run under state Human Resources Division guidelines. Residents can submit discussion topics and questions for the next chief until the public input link closes Aug. 18. Those submissions will inform a Community Stakeholder Group that interviews each finalist before Nicholson meets the candidates individually and makes his appointment.
