DCR to close Lynn Veterans Memorial Park for reconstruction

The Department of Conservation and Recreation will close Lynn Veterans Memorial Park and its parking lot beginning Monday, Aug. 10, and keep them closed through Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2027, for a reconstruction and improvement project. The pedestrian bridge to the north side of the Lynnway stays open until Aug. 13, after which it closes for construction. Plans include regrading the park, rebuilding the boardwalk, and adding new paths, plantings, lighting, park furnishings, a splashpad and parking lot improvements.
