Lynn Fire Department receives over 70 donated animal oxygen masks
The Lynn Fire Department received more than 70 animal oxygen masks on Sunday through a fundraiser by All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in Salem. The 25 Wag'N O2 Fur Life masks will allow firefighters to treat pets for smoke inhalation during fires. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, roughly half a million animals are affected by house fires each year, with 40,000 dying mostly from smoke inhalation.
