Mosquitoes Test Positive for West Nile Virus in Lexington
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced on Sept. 17 that mosquito samples collected in Lexington tested positive for West Nile Virus, along with samples from Waltham and Provincetown. The announcement follows positive samples in several other neighboring communities this season. Town officials urge residents to wear long sleeves and pants during prolonged time outdoors and to apply mosquito-specific insect repellent.
