Dave Gipson named Captain Commanding of Lexington Minute Men

Dave Gipson became the 82nd Captain Commanding of the Lexington Minute Men on Monday, Aug. 17, in a "Passing of the Sword" ceremony, stepping into a role the company has filled over its 337-year history. Gipson said he and his twin brother, Dan, watched the annual Battle of Lexington reenactment as spectators from the other side of the ropes before he joined. "When you stand on the Lexington Battlegreen, you can feel the history behind it," he said.
