MassDEP accepts appeal over LHS construction on wetlands
MassDEP has accepted an appeal from a ten-citizen group seeking a Superseding Order of Conditions to supplement the Conservation Commission's June 29 order for the Lexington High School site. No work beyond fencing has been done, and none can proceed until MassDEP issues a final order. The appeal claims the town did not consider alternatives to building on bordering vegetated wetland as state law requires; MassDEP has scheduled a site visit for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, when the parties will speak to the appeal and walk the site.
