Free guided bike rides offered through Cambridge Squares this week
With the Red Line closure disrupting commutes through Friday, July 31, Cambridge's Department of Transportation is offering free weekday morning guided bike rides linking Alewife, Porter, Harvard, Central and Kendall Squares. Volunteer ride leaders guide groups at a leisurely pace along low-traffic streets and separated bike lanes. The rides are one of several transit alternatives, alongside MBTA shuttles, the EZRide Shuttle, and fare-free Commuter Rail between Porter Square and North Station.
