Red Line shuttle commutes stretch to 70+ minutes
With Red Line trains north of Park Street halted through July 30 for what the MBTA calls critical infrastructure work, riders say the Alewife-to-Park Street shuttle trip now takes over an hour. The MBTA advises budgeting at least 70 extra minutes. Trips that once took under 20 minutes have stretched past two hours for some commuters.
