Families Report Late and Missing Boston School Buses
Data obtained by Boston 25 News shows Boston school buses were on time for morning drop-off an average of 80% of the time during the first seven days of the 2026-27 school year, down from 83% during the same period last year. Families and city leaders, including City Councilor At-Large Erin Murphy, are raising concerns about delays and missed pickups. A Dorchester grandmother caring for three children at three district schools said their buses are regularly late or sometimes do not show up.
