Scooter rider hospitalized after Tremont Street crash
Boston EMS said a person was struck by a car near 1467 Tremont Street at about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday and taken to an area hospital; police later said the scooter driver's injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the car was cited for a violation of the auto laws, and part of Tremont Street was closed during the investigation. The crash happened a few yards from the ghost bike marking where transportation planner Louisa Gag was fatally struck in July; the investigation remains active.
