Orange Line shutdown between Oak Grove and Back Bay looms Aug. 20-30

The MBTA will suspend Orange Line service between Oak Grove and Back Bay for 11 days beginning Aug. 20, with free shuttle buses replacing trains while crews upgrade track and signals near Chinatown. It is one of several August service changes the T announced to support work on the Orange, Green, Framingham/Worcester and Needham lines. Riders can find details through in-station signage and announcements and at mbta.com/PlannedWork, and staff and Transit Ambassadors will be on site to help.
