High-Wind, Coastal-Flood Warnings Remain in Effect Through Weekend
The National Weather Service's High Wind Warning for eastern Essex County remains in effect until 8 a.m. Sunday, with northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 60 mph. Forecasters say the winds will blow down trees and power lines, power outages are expected, and travel will be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. A Coastal Flood Warning for shoreline flooding runs through 8 p.m. Sunday, and residents are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around.
