Residents fear deteriorating seawall as nor’easter nears

As the weekend nor'easter arrives, Allerton Point residents are raising the alarm about the state-owned DCR seawall. Joe Berkeley and Gary Bloch describe a wall in complete disrepair that has already allowed floodwaters to cross the street in previous storms. The gap between the wall and their homes has grown so wide, Berkeley can no longer measure it with his tape.
