MBTA Cancels Quincy Ferry, Watching Hingham Route Amid Rough Seas
The MBTA canceled its Lynn and Quincy ferry service to Boston on Wednesday as waves of 4 to 8 feet and wind gusts of 20 to 40 mph hit the Massachusetts coast. The agency said it would monitor other routes, including service from Hingham, through the week. A potential early fall nor'easter threatens to worsen conditions and linger through the weekend, and South Shore boaters were already pulling boats off their moorings.
