Judge rules Apple Store crash suspect fit for trial

A judge ruled Wednesday, Sept. 16, that Bradley Rein is competent to stand trial on charges of second-degree murder and motor vehicle homicide in the Nov. 21, 2022 crash into the Apple Store at Derby Street Shops. His lawyer had cited memory issues, but a clinician screening found no concerns. The crash killed 65-year-old construction worker Kevin Bradley; Rein is due back in court Oct. 14 on a change of venue motion, with trial set for January.
