City Council votes 5-4 for divestment order; boycott proposal fails
At a special meeting Wednesday afternoon, the City Council voted 5-4 to call on the city's pension fund and other post-retirement benefits fund to divest from companies it described as having "severe and consistent involvement" in harm to Palestinians.
