Body Found in Fresh Pond, Cambridge Police Investigating
A body was found in Fresh Pond on Tuesday, according to a joint statement from Cambridge Police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, which said preliminary indications are that it had been in the water for an extended period. An investigation is under way, and police said further information would be released as it becomes available. City spokesman Jeremy Warnick said residents need not be concerned about the drinking water supply, because water from the pond passes through Cambridge's water treatment plant before reaching taps.
