Red Line shutdown between Alewife and Park St. ends July 30

The MBTA's 10-day suspension of Red Line service between Alewife and Park Street ends today, with regular service set to resume Friday, July 31. Free, accessible shuttle buses are making all stops between Alewife and Park Street through the end of the closure, and a guided commuter bike ride is also available. Crews used the shutdown for track work, signal improvements and other repairs; the city expects heavy regional travel delays until service returns.
