Alcohol-to-go zones active in Harvard Square for World Cup

Cambridge has authorized to-go drink sales in mapped public consumption zones and extended some bar hours to 3 a.m. through July 31, tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and America's 250th anniversary. Approved Harvard Square establishments can sell to-go alcoholic drinks from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with last service at 10:45 p.m. City Manager Yi-An Huang said the measures would help showcase Cambridge while supporting local businesses during one of its busiest periods.
